You know you’re in trouble when you start believing your own press. If someone got to know you by reading your Facebook posts, ir reading your tweets on Twitter or by reading your blog or any other social media, would they recognise you if they met you in real life? If they did recognise you, would they still think the same way about you after they had spent the day with you? Would they still think the same way about you if they were part of your church? The truth of the matter is that what we post online and who we are are never the same. This need not be a bad thing.

In the same way, we have allowed the church to be more influenced by business principles than by the simplicity of the lives of people like Paul. The church is a ministry, not a business. When…
